DAVID DEMELO

David Demelo a Luso American artist whose debut album "Filho de Portuguese" sold successfully in the US and Canada with his second album Pedaços de Mim being released late spring of 2007.

In 1999, Singer and Songwriter David Demelo debuted with his first project titled "Filho de Portugueses” selling successfully to our Luso community both in the US, Canada and having internet sales in Portugal and Malaysia. Song titles such as “Filho De Portugueses” & “Immigrants em Festa” can still be heard today on your local Portuguese radio stations. This album was written by David and produced by Paul Sardinha.

Now in 2007 we have David’s new album titled "Pedaços de Mim" which will contain eight Portuguese songs in a variety of styles with Dave’s favorite song “Manda Vir”. Hear it first on LUSOBEAT ™ on our voting page.

Other song titles include “Luso-Americano”, “Lição de amor”, “Perdoa-me Meu Deus”, “Maria Paixao”, “Espero por ti”, “Paraiso”, and a remake of “Fado Serrano”.

David and his band, “Banda International” already have a busy schedule in front them including recent participation in WJFD's unplugged show with Dioniso Garcia and the Jack tribute show. David talks about what a great honor it was to just be involved…
