PSYC

We were visiting R.E.Mix Production studio in West Warwick, R.I. Where we caught up with upcoming LusoAmerican rapper “PSYC”.

“Psyc” was born in the U.S.A. and has ties to São Miguel, Portugal. Growing up listening to NAS, Biggie, JayZ and Eminem he became inspired to tell his own stories rapping with friends at basement parties. Freestylin’ became such a second nature to him that he started writing down his lyrics and about 25 notebooks later he decided it was time to share his words with an audience entering open mic nights and freestylin' battles at Club AS220.

Psyc was bitten by the performing bug and started to step up his game and make his creation permanent. He met up with Ricardo and Evaldo a.k. Youngfire of “R.E. Mix Productions” and that’s where he found his solace in the "booth"; his favorite place to be. “Psyc” had always believed that “…music is the key to your soul and goes on to say "I finally have that key”!"

A few years later “Psyc’s” first CD titled “Out of My Eyes” was released. This CD contains 13 tracks with titles such as: “Who We Are”, “Faces About to Change”, “Out of My Eyes”, “We Know Where We’re Going”, “Game”, “Tell me Why”, “Turn it Up!”, “Hard to Say Goodbye”, “Vai (Go)”, “What it’s all About”, “1 Life 2 Live”, “Paranoia” and “You Sacred?” All containing a blend of hip hop, R&B, Club and other unique street beats that are not normally heard in the Luso community.

“PSYC” also collaborated with female vocalist and rapper “Roylty”, Fyn, Ricardo, B.L.S and Evo. Who are all part of the R.E.Mix Production family.

“PSYC” hopes that you enjoy the album and we ask that you listen and vote on his first single “Vai (Go) here at LUSOBEAT™.
